Defect-free technology

OLED displays have zero tolerance to defects in the permeation barrier.
 
A few “missing pixels” in the LCD displays (sometimes encountered) are still acceptable in commercial LCD products. However, one invisible micro-defect in the barrier-coated flexible substrate in OLED device makes the pricey, perfectly elaborated and tuned display entirely useless after a short period of time due to the growing development of black spots. The future of flexible OLEDs depends on the development of defect-free encapsulation.
 
Nova-Plasma has developed a practical solution to defect problems in the production of OLEDs and other sensitive electronic devices. We produce flexible substrates by coating plastic films with Ultra-High permeation barriers. Our proprietary technology to create Defect-Free substrates will be especially suitable in inexpensive roll-to-roll production of printable electronic devices.
Based on face-to-face lamination of two independently coated films by Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition process. We have demonstrated that the overall performance of the laminated films improves by a factor of 100.
